Formula One: Rosberg fancies his chances

Recent Italian Grand Prix ended prematurely, leaving the Mercedes GP driver even more fired up.

LONDON:
Nico Rosberg’s recent Italian Grand Prix ended prematurely, leaving the Mercedes GP driver even more fired up for the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix. The German, who has yet to win a grand prix in 102 starts, enjoys the unique characteristics of the Marina Bay Circuit and the night event format. “I finished second at the first race held here in 2008 so I have some good memories from that weekend,” said Rosberg who fancies his chances in a car which, he believes, has seen improvements. “We’ve made a good step forward with the car in the last few races and I hope we can take advantage of that again.”
