
Production on Fallout Season 2 has officially wrapped, according to cast members Ella Purnell and Walter Goggins, who confirmed the news on their respective social media platforms.
The hit Prime Video series, based on the iconic post-apocalyptic video game franchise, is expected to return sometime in spring or summer 2026, though no exact release date has been announced.
Purnell, who plays Lucy MacLean, shared the announcement via Instagram, while Goggins, who portrays the enigmatic Ghoul, posted a de-Ghouled selfie on the show's official X (formerly Twitter) page to mark the occasion.
The second season faced delays due to the Los Angeles wildfires, but has now concluded filming and is entering post-production. Season 2 is expected to feature new locations and introduce formidable new threats, including Deathclaws, which are among the most dangerous creatures from the Fallout game universe.
Rumors continue to swirl about new cast additions, including Kumail Nanjiani, though Prime Video has yet to confirm his involvement. Actor Macaulay Culkin has reportedly joined the cast as a “crazy genius,” expanding the show’s already star-studded lineup
Returning cast members include Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, and Moisés Arias, along with Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.
