Beauty influencer James Charles has officially addressed rumors regarding his alleged relationship with content creator Evan Johnson, who recently faced trial for the alleged abuse of his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Malec.

“I do not support Evan Johnson in any way, shape, or form,” Charles stated. “We did not have sex, and I never paid him for any sexual favors.” He clarified they shared only a brief friendship, distancing himself from any deeper connection following Johnson’s alleged assault on Malec.

Charles also revealed that he attempted to reach out to Malec to clarify the situation, but she declined to communicate. “Frankly, I don’t f*cking blame her,” he added, referencing the misinformation circulating online. He specifically called out YouTuber Markos Bitsakakis (Bee Better) and Zack Sellars, Johnson’s alleged former friend, who claimed in a YouTube interview that Charles and Johnson had a sexual relationship.
Charles dismissed the interview as “complete bullsh*t,” declaring that there was no evidence to back the allegations and announced plans to pursue legal action against those spreading false information.
In an earlier post on May 6, Charles declared, “I DO NOT SUPPORT EVAN JOHNSON,” and expressed hope for justice for Malec, who later confirmed on TikTok that she had won her case.
This public response comes amid intense scrutiny and backlash as Charles attempts to clear his name and reaffirm his stance against abuse and misinformation.
