Bollywood mourns death of Azharuddin’s son

The Indian film fraternity expressed shock over the death of ex-cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin’s son Ayazuddin, who died of injuries caused a road accident last week. The former Indian captain’s younger son passed away due to hypoxic encephalopathy (a condition brought on by diminished supply of oxygen to the brain), five days after his sports bike skidded on the outer ring road.


Many took to Twitter to express sorrow over the 19-year-old’s death.

Ritesh Deshmukh: Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Azharuddin’s son. Condolences to the entire family.

Sonu Sood: Omg! Azaruddin’s son’s news has been so shocking. My heart goes out to the family. May God give strength to the family. Deeply saddened!

Sophie Choudry: Heartfelt condolences to Azhar and his family. May Allah give the family strength. The incident is too tragic for words. May his soul rest in peace. Hope this tragic incident is a wake-up call to all the young bikers out there! Please be safe, sensible and always wear a helmet. Life is too precious.

@Shahzad you are correct, good or bad has returned to Azhar only not to his son.

@Sumit: What ever good or bad deed someone is doing comes back to him only, If Azhar has done anything wrong, he is answerable for that before Allah. Allah will not take his son's life for his mistake. Anyway, Though Azhar has been convicted as guilty by the commission, it really doesn't mean he has really done match fixing, he was just a scapegoat. And, just think what would happen to people like you, who is increasing the pain of a Father who just lost his son. You are really sick and biased. I would thank all who prayed for Marhoom Ayaz, May Allah provide him a place in Jannat-ul-Firdaous, also give strength to his family... Ameen.
