Balochistan readying 'pro-people budget'

Budget aims to promote sustainable development, improve social welfare across the province

The Balochistan government is currently finalizing its budget for the fiscal year 2025–26, with a strong focus on health, education, and employment generation, according to Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani.

Speaking to the media, he said the forthcoming budget aims to address the genuine concerns of the people by promoting sustainable development and improving social welfare across the province.

"Our primary goal is to respond to the genuine concerns of the people of Balochistan," he said. "This budget is being shaped with their needs and long-term prosperity in mind."

He revealed that substantial allocations are planned for the health and education sectors. The government intends to enhance healthcare infrastructure, increase investment in medical services, and ensure greater access to health facilities in both urban centers and remote areas.

In education, the budget will prioritize upgrading school infrastructure, improving teacher training programs, and expanding access to quality education for students across all districts.
