Country's youngest author launches book

Anaya Umair wrote the book at the age of 14

KARACHI:

The launch of 'Reel to Reveal', a book by Pakistan's youngest writer, Anaya Umair, was held at a local hotel with the Sindh Education Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah as the special guest. The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumaithi, Consul General of Malaysia, Herman Hardynata Bin Ahmad, representative of the Consulate of the Sultanate of Oman, renowned writer Zulfikar Halepoto, amid other figures were also present on the occasion.

Anaya Umair wrote the book at the age of 14, recording her thoughts and experiences on the topic of 'mentorship'. She deems her grandmother her first mentor, and highlights that the people who show us the way are the closest to our hearts.

Speaking at the event, Minister Shah stated that becoming a female writer is like becoming a mentor in itself. He added that mentorship is not just guidance but a wealth of experience passed down from generation to generation. Shah congratulated Anaya Umair's parents and stated that this is a wonderful beginning of Anaya's literary journey. Meanwhile, Malaysian Consul General Herman said that life is a process of learning from each other, and so it is our responsibility to pass on the best values to the next generation.
