Female cotton pickers demand rights

HYDERABAD:
Labour rights leaders and representatives of women-led trade unions of cotton workers from district Matiari held a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club, raising strong demands for justice, fair wages, and decent working conditions for more than one million women labourers across Sindh's cotton-producing districts.
The press conference was opened by Zaubaida, President of Sujagi Women Cotton Workers Trade Union from Village Meho Machi, Matiari, who called for urgent recognition and support for their contributions to Pakistan's textile economy.
