Three dacoits wanted for cops' martyrdom killed

Punjab Police Dera Ghazi Khan has killed three criminals wanted in connection with the martyrdom of police personnel.

The spokesperson of Punjab Police, while sharing the details, said that the three dacoits who had martyred ASI Ghulam Shabbir and Constable Ghulam Fareed in recent days have been shot dead by the police in a successful operation.

The slain dacoits have been identified as Rehmat Ullah alias Ranjha Sanjrani, Fahad alias Fahdi, and Asif alias Haji Sanjrani.

Punjab Police spokesperson shared that Dera Ghazi Khan Police had set up a checkpoint at the location of Super Bund 2 within the jurisdiction of Police Station Saddar Taunsa, following intelligence about criminal elements.

During this time, five armed suspects coming from the river toward Super Bund 2 opened indiscriminate fire upon seeing the police party. In self-defense, the police retaliated, and in the ensuing exchange of fire, three dangerous dacoits were brought to justice.

The slain men were involved in the martyrdom of ASI Ghulam Shabbir and Constable Ghulam Fareed.
