Injured suspect held after encounter

Aurangzeb has a record of multiple cases of child molestation, robbery, theft, and police encounters.

A robbery and rape suspect with a long criminal history was injured in a police encounter when his accomplices attempted to rescue him by firing at the police.

The police arrested the suspect and took him to the hospital while launching a search operation for his accomplices who escaped. According to the police report, Sub-Inspector Naeem Alamuddin was taking the accused, Aurangzeb Afzal, to recover stolen goods in connection with a case of child molestation and robbery.

During this time, six armed men on three motorcycles attempted to rescue Aurangzeb by firing at the police party. SHO Thikriwala Police Station Sub-Inspector Shahid Ali Awan and SHO Saddar Abid Hussain Jutt reached the scene with a large police force upon information and set up roadblocks throughout the district to arrest the fleeing suspects.

During the blockade, the police spotted four motorcycle-borne suspects near the Saim Canal and signaled them to stop. Instead of stopping, they opened indiscriminate fire.

In the police's return fire, suspect Aurangzeb was injured, while the other culprits escaped under the cover of darkness. The injured was taken to Civil Hospital Faisalabad for treatment.

According to the police, Aurangzeb has a record of multiple cases of child molestation, robbery, theft, and police encounters. The police registered a new case against the injured accused and his accomplices under sections related to police encounters, attempted murder, and illegal arms.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer Sahibzada Bilal Umar formed teams under the supervision of SP Iqbal Town Saeed Ahmad to arrest the absconding culprits. These teams are conducting raids at various locations.
