Liverpool will celebrate their record-equalling 20th English top-flight title with an open-top bus parade through the city on Monday, 26 May, the club and Liverpool City Council have confirmed.

The Reds secured their second Premier League crown with a dominant 5-1 victory over Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday.

The title win marks another historic chapter for Liverpool, who last won the league under Jürgen Klopp in 2020.

The victory parade will depart from Allerton Maze at 14:30 BST, travelling a nine-mile (15km) route via Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street, and The Strand, before concluding at Blundell Street.

Organisers expect hundreds of thousands of fans to line the streets to celebrate with manager Arne Slot and his title-winning squad.

Council leader Liam Robinson described the parade as "more than football," calling it a celebration of Liverpool’s "pride, passion, and community spirit." The event, organised by Liverpool City Council, is expected to last between three and five hours.

The parade is free to attend, with Liverpool FC set to cover all associated costs. Fans are advised to plan travel carefully, as rolling road closures will be in place and pyrotechnics and flares are prohibited.

Chief Inspector Chris Barnes from Merseyside Police assured fans of a strong security presence along the route, adding: "We want the day to be remembered as an enjoyable and safe event for everyone."

Liverpool will conclude their league season against Crystal Palace at Anfield on 25 May, while rivals Everton will play away following an emotional farewell to Goodison Park.

Further updates regarding travel, safety advice, and event arrangements are expected to be issued by Liverpool FC, Merseyside Police, Merseytravel, and the council in the coming days.
