Pakistan, Iran pledge stronger health cooperation

ISLAMABAD:

Health Minister Mustafa Kamal represented Pakistan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Health Ministers' Conference in China, where he met with his Iranian counterpart to discuss bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

During the conference, Kamal highlighted the strong, brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iran, and stressed the importance of enhancing collaboration in healthcare. The two ministers discussed various areas of mutual interest, including health tourism and telemedicine.

The meeting concluded with both countries reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation in the health sector.
