PESHAWAR: The political administration of Khyber Agency has completed various development projects, which will improve the living standards of local communities. According to a press release issued by the Fata Secretariat Directorate of Information on Friday, the administration has constructed various flood protection walls for the community of Haji Khitab Shah Kili Ghundai of Jamrud Tehsil in Khyber Agency. The last year’s floods destroyed over 500 houses in Jamrud Tehsil. The administration therefore built a protection wall to save the houses from floods in future. The wall is expected to benefit 3,200 individuals, including the primary schools in Khitab Shah Village. The total length of the wall is 600 metres and was built by hiring of local contractors. The political administration has called upon the inhabitants to maintain these projects and to extend their cooperation in implementing other similar work in their areas.
