MURREE:

The dilapidated condition of the Rawalpindi-Murree Road has made travel on the most important tourist highway extremely difficult.

Following the deep excavation on this road from Chitta Mor to Bansara Gali, which has been dragged out due to the slow construction work, the route has been plagued by dust and breakdowns, which is posing daily challenges for tourists, locals and school children. Accidents on the road have become a norm. Many have also started suffering from throat and respiratory diseases.

The Punjab government had provided funds of one billion for the construction of the road, but the rehabilitation and construction of the road could not be completed before the season. Due to the Murree Highway Division's negligence, people are facing serious problems. Public circles have demanded the immediate rehabilitation of the road and said that despite the release of funds for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Rawalpindi-Murree-Kashmir Road.
