Remember the old phrase, “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse”?
TikTok has taken that and run with it straight into absurd territory.
The viral trend sweeping the app now has users declaring their hunger by claiming they could eat someone oddly specific, from a forgotten Yearbook face to an ex their mum dated in the ’80s.
The more niche the name, the better the reaction, and honestly, the more unhinged the better.
TikToker Joe Mele (@mmmjoemele) kicked things off with a jaw-dropping declaration to his dad: he was so hungry, he “could eat a random guy I found in his yearbook,” named Gino Romano.
Cue Dad’s face going into full witness protection mode.
“Joe that’s not a name you throw around,” he warned, completely rattled.
“You never said that name, we never had this conversation,” he added before leaving the room faster than Gino left high school. The video now has over 10.5 million views, 1.7 million likes, and a comment section bursting with theories and giggles.
“Pops just got PTSD,” someone wrote.
Another asked, “Did Gino Romano bully him or what?”
Meanwhile, TikToker Liana Jade (@lianajadee) offered up a family-friendly (but also mildly terrifying) take by telling her adorable two-year-old son she was so hungry she “could eat a child.”
“Who me?” he asked, deeply betrayed. “You said eat me?”
Liana tried to reassure him: “No, not you, a different one.” But the toddler wasn’t buying it.
“You can only eat snacks. Child’s are not snacks,” he insisted.
The internet collectively melted.
@lianajadee Child’s are friends, not food 😂🥹

The video has 12.7 million views, 2.2 million likes, and an outpouring of love for the pint-sized food ethicist.
“Why do British babies sound so polite?” one user commented.
“British babies are so serious and adorable,” said another.
And someone went full Titanic on us: “Not to be dramatic, but I would die for him.”
Then there’s Brooke (@brookekhainesss), who turned up the awkward nostalgia.
She casually told her mum she was so hungry she could “eat her high school boyfriend.”
“Did you just say Doc Clarkson?” her mum said, suddenly giggling like she was 17 again and living her best teen rom-com life.
The clip has over 6.5 million views, 1.1 million likes, and a comment section that might as well be a Doc Clarkson fan club.
“Why did I see her morph into a 17-year-old for a moment?” one person said.
“She remembers him fondly,” another observed.
“Oh girl has MEMORIES with Doc Clarkson,” said a third.
One viewer even claimed: “That’s literally my dad. So insane to see it that I actually downloaded TikTok to comment here.”
So next time you're starving, skip the “horse” and consider threatening to eat your dad’s old bandmate, your sister’s ex, or a PE teacher named Gerald who no one’s seen since 2004.
TikTok will thank you.
