Houston heats up with Kendrick, SZA, Bad Bunny, and Metallica shows

Houston’s live music scene is heating up this week with a packed lineup of high-profile performances, starting tonight with Kendrick Lamar and SZA at NRG Stadium.

The duo headlines the Grand National Tour on Wednesday, April 23, bringing their chart-topping hits and electric stage presence to one of the city’s biggest venues.

Also originally scheduled for tonight was legendary guitarist Carlos Santana at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, though that performance has been postponed due to a recent health scare.

On Friday, April 25, reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny takes over NOTO Houston for a highly anticipated show as part of his global tour. Known for his high-energy performances and massive fanbase, this event is expected to draw a large crowd.

Fans of fantasy and film music can look forward to The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit in Concert on Sunday, April 27, at 12 p.m. at the Cullen Theater. The orchestral event promises a magical musical journey through Middle-earth, featuring iconic scores from both trilogies.

Looking further ahead, rock legends Metallica will bring their world tour to Houston on June 14, performing at NRG Stadium. Their concert is expected to be a major highlight of the summer concert season.
