Murdered woman's husband held

Case registered on complaint of the victim's brother

A man was arrested and a case was registered against him and his father on the charge of killing his wife, faking the death as caused by a heart attack and burying her.

According to the police, the case was filed by Muhammad Abbas, a resident of Chak No. 458/2, GB Tandlianwala, with the Mamu Kanjan police, stating that his sister Zainab Bibi was married to the accused Ghulam Farid, a few years ago. He often beat and suspected the victim and his behavior towards her was inappropriate.

On April 12 at 11 pm, the accused called and said, "Take your sister out of the house or I will kill her. When we reached there on April 13, my sister was lying in a pool of blood. Accused Ghulam Farid had injured her by hitting her head with an iron rod and later, while cleaning her blood, he and his son Mubashir, burried her on their own, pretending that she had had a heart attack."

He said the accused had killed his sister in the name of honor. SHO Mamu Kanjan Mohsin Kamuka arrested the husband, who had killed his wife seven days ago, and registered a case.

Meanwhile, a man killed his younger brother by silting his jugular vein during a fight before making good his escape.

According to officials, Shehzad, a resident of Khalidabad within the jurisdiction of Factory Police Station, was stabbed with a sharp instrument by his elder brother Fakhar during a fight and cut his jugular vein. Rescue 1122 staff tried to shift him to the hospital while providing medical aid, but he succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.

According to police, the brothers had a dispute, which led the accused to use a sharp weapon to slit his younger brother's throat, resulting in his death.

Police took possession of the body of the deceased, shifted it to the mortuary unit for postmortem and started search for his escaped elder brother.
