Police in Lahore have launched an investigation into the alleged abduction of a 29-year-old woman and her four children, who went missing while travelling to her mother’s house, officials said.

The incident occurred in the Gujjarpura area of the city, where a case was registered at the local police station on the complaint of the woman’s husband, Hafiz Mahmood, Express News reported.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), Amber and her children—eight-year-old Abdullah, six-year-old Zainab, five-year-old Ahmed, and two-year-old Umme Hani—were abducted while en route to her mother’s home.

The family was last seen leaving together, and did not reach their destination.

Police said they are using CCTV footage to trace the victims’ movements and are hopeful of a breakthrough.

“A joint team comprising SHO Gujjarpura Mohammad Zaka and officers from the investigation unit is actively working on the case,” a police spokesperson stated.

“We are confident they will be recovered soon.”

No suspects have been named yet, and the motive behind the abduction remains unclear.

Authorities said all angles are being examined, and updates will be shared as the investigation progresses.
