A retired additional commissioner of Faisalabad, Malik Khadim Jillani, was allegedly abducted from his residence in Sattu Katla under mysterious circumstances.
According to initial reports, about 10 armed and masked men scaled the boundary wall of Jillani's house late at night.
The intruders held the family hostage in a room, looted cash, mobile phones, passports and other valuables, and abducted Jillani.
The abductors fled in the victim family's vehicle, according to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by Jillani's wife.
Jillani had retired in 2021 and had no known enmity, his wife claimed. "We don't have any enemies, and my husband has been kidnapped," she said, appealing for his safe recovery.
The police registered the case of abduction against 10 unidentified individuals.
