Teen's tortured body found in canal

The body of an 18-year-old young boy was recovered from the Gogera Branch Canal and was handed

over to the police after being retrieved by the rescue team.

Citizens informed the rescue team after seeing the body of an 18-year-old youth floating in the Gogera Branch Canal near Chak 26 Satiana Road.

Teams from Rescue 1122 arrived at the scene, retrieved the body, and handed it over to the police.

Police said the deceased had a round face, wheatish complexion, long hair, a light beard and moustache and was wearing a golden-coloured ring on his right pinky finger.

There were signs of physical assault on his body and the body appeared to be two to three days old.
