Police claim suspect's arrest after shootout

An alleged motorcycle thief was injured and arrested following a crossfire with the police in the Cantt area on Thursday. The other suspect managed to escape.

According to police sources, a patrolling team attempted to stop two individuals, who were riding a motorcycle, during a snap-checking operation. Instead of complying, the suspects sped away, prompting a police chase. During the pursuit, the suspects opened fire on the police, leading to a brief exchange of gunfire.

One suspect was shot and apprehended in an injured condition. He was identified as Hammad, and was found in possession of a stolen motorcycle and an illegal weapon. Hammad is a wanted criminal with a record of multiple motorcycle theft cases.
