Alexander Volkanovski returns to UFC P4P rankings, Paddy Pimblett enters top 10

Paddy Pimblett enters UFC lightweight top 10 after UFC 314 win, while Alexander Volkanovski climbs P4P rankings.

Paddy Pimblett has officially entered the UFC’s lightweight top 10 following his dominant victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314, while Alexander Volkanovski returns to the pound-for-pound top 10 after a main event win.

Paddy Pimblett secured a major career milestone on Saturday night, claiming a top 10 spot in the UFC lightweight rankings after stopping Michael Chandler in the co-main event of UFC 314.

The Liverpool fighter overwhelmed Chandler across three rounds before sealing the win by stoppage, slicing open the former Bellator champion late in the bout.

Chandler had entered the contest ranked seventh, making the result pivotal for Pimblett’s rise. The Brit now holds a top 10 spot, though fellow European Mateusz Gamrot claimed the No. 7 ranking.

Undefeated in the UFC, Pimblett is positioning himself for a world title push. After the fight, he called out top contenders Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, and Arman Tsarukyan. Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has acknowledged Pimblett as a potential challenger, especially if he continues to climb.

Chandler, on the other hand, has fallen to No. 12 in the rankings. The American has not won a UFC fight since 2022 and now holds a 2-5 record since moving from Bellator in 2021.

In the featherweight division, Alexander Volkanovski returned to the pound-for-pound top 10 after reclaiming his title with a win over Diego Lopes. Previously considered for the No. 1 spot, Volkanovski had dropped in the rankings following losses to Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev.

Volkanovski is now ranked ninth pound-for-pound. The only fighters to defeat him in the UFC—Makhachev and Topuria—are currently ranked first and third respectively. A future matchup among these names could determine the sport’s top pound-for-pound fighter.

Meanwhile, Jean Silva made his debut in the featherweight rankings after his win over Bryce Mitchell, rounding out a night of notable movement across multiple UFC divisions.
