Former Today Show anchor Hoda Kotb has made several surprise visits to the NBC set, sparking concern among her former colleagues that she may be considering a return. As reported by RadarOnline on April 8, 2025, her frequent appearances and warm interactions with current hosts have fueled speculation, just months after she stepped away from the program in January.

Kotb, 60, left her role to focus on raising her two daughters, Haley, 8, and Hope, 6. However, sources told RadarOnline that the single mother may be second-guessing her decision, citing repeated visits, texts, and calls to her former co-hosts. An insider claimed Kotb is “rubbing in their faces” that she has a great new lifestyle, even as she lingers around the set.

She made a notable backstage appearance on March 11, praising Jenna Bush Hager during a taping and congratulating her on her performance alongside guest hosts like Scarlett Johansson and Justin Sylvester. While her compliments seemed genuine, some staff reportedly felt uneasy. “They love Hoda and think of her as family — but find the clinginess all too much,” a source said, noting that anchor Craig Melvin, now co-hosting the first two hours with Savannah Guthrie, has grown particularly wary.

The Today Show team is reportedly focused on embracing a new era, and Kotb’s continued presence may be perceived as disruptive. “She can’t let it go,” one insider added, suggesting she may be considering reclaiming her old role.

Although there are no confirmed plans for her return, Kotb’s ongoing involvement has reportedly stirred concern about stability on the show and how best to honor her legacy without reopening old dynamics.
