Rapper Jeffery Lamar Williams II, known as Young Thug, is facing possible revocation of his probation following allegations that he violated court terms in the YSL RICO case. Prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, filed a motion stating Williams endangered a witness and public officials through a social media post made on 1 April.
Williams, who pleaded guilty on 31 October 2024, was sentenced to probation under conditions that barred any contact with victims or witnesses.
According to the motion, he posted an image of Investigator Marissa Viverito, a key witness in the YSL case, alongside the caption: “Marissa Viverito is the biggest liar in the DA’s office.” The post, which has since been deleted, reportedly gained over two million views and triggered a series of threatening comments directed at Viverito and her family.
Williams also appeared to have reposted an images of Viverito posted by a fan account under the caption, " All my homies hate Viverito".

Prosecutors argue the post led to the public release of Viverito’s home address and prompted further threats against District Attorney Fani Willis. “The escalation from targeting a testifying witness to making direct death threats against the elected District Attorney of Fulton County represents a grave and unprecedented attack on the justice system,” the motion stated.
The State is requesting that Williams be remanded into custody immediately and ordered to reimburse law enforcement for the added security required following the incident. Georgia law permits probation revocation if a defendant engages in conduct that poses a risk to public safety.
In response, Williams denied wrongdoing on his official X account, writing, “I don’t make threats to people I’m a good person".
I don’t make treats to people I’m a good person, I would never condone anyone threatening anyone or definitely participate in threatening anyone. I’m all about peace and love

His attorney, Brian Steele, called the motion “baseless” and said the defence would seek dismissal.
A hearing date on the motion has not been scheduled.
