PTI's plea for Lahore rally disposed of
The Lahore High Court (LHC) disposed of a petition of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan on the eve of Pakistan Day (today), after the district administration said that such an activity could not be permitted because of the ongoing wave of terrorism in the country.
PTI's Central Punjab Senior Vice President Akmal Khan had moved the LHC through his lawyer, Advocate Khurram Latif Khosa, after the party's application for holding the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on March 22 was rejected by the office of the Lahore deputy commissioner.
