'Model village' built in 15 years

Revived project completed in 2 months to improve living standards, infrastructure

KOT ADDU:

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Syed Munawar Abbas Bukhari inaugurated a long-awaited 'model village' in an area of Daira Din Panah devastated by floods 15 years ago.

The project, which had remained incomplete since the 2010 floods, has been revived. The authorities completed the project in two months.

Under the initiative, the 'model village' will feature newly constructed roads, speed breakers and boundary walls.

According to officials, the infrastructure is aimed at improving the services and living standard of the residents.

The development is expected to provide a safe and more sustainable environment for the people of the area who had been affected by the flood.
