
Stringent security measures have been put in place for the 21st of Ramazan, marking the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali.
Across the district, a total of 49 religious gatherings (majalis) and seven mourning processions will be held under strict security arrangements.
According to the security plan, seven traditional and licensed majalis and four mourning processions will take place in the City Circle, while 15 majalis will be held in Sadar Circle Okara.
Renala Police Circle will host 15 majalis and one mourning procession, while 12 majalis and two processions will be conducted in Depalpur Police Circle.
DPO Rashid Hidayat has assigned over 500 police officers and personnel for duty, ensuring a comprehensive security cover.
Search and sweeping operations have already been completed along the procession routes, with special snipers deployed for added vigilance. Additionally, all adjacent streets and markets will remain completely sealed to prevent any security threats.
The security deployment includes SP investigation, five DSPs, 16 inspectors, 19 sub-inspectors, 46 ASIs, 15 Head Constables, and 310 Constables.
Moreover, 34 female police officers, Special Forces, Rida Force, and Reserve Force will be stationed along the routes and at majalis venues. District police and Elite Force teams will conduct continuous patrolling, while checkpoints have been established at all major entry and exit points of the district.
