The first batch of youth selected under the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Programme will soon travel abroad to secure employment.
It was announced by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Tuesday during a visa and documents handing over ceremony.
Bugti underscored the government's commitment to providing dignified job opportunities for the region's unemployed youth.
He said, "It is a proud moment as our youth prepare to represent both Balochistan and Pakistan on the international stage. They must maintain the highest standards of integrity to uphold our nation's reputation."
He emphasised that the initiative was aimed at reconnecting marginalized young people with state opportunities, ensuring that improved education and skill development could lead to a more positive future.
Highlighting the unique challenges faced by the province, Bugti noted that high unemployment had driven local youth towards anti-state influences. "By focusing on merit and good governance, we are not only creating jobs but also building trust and hope among our young citizens," he added.
Bugti also directed that all remaining qualified candidates be sent abroad for employment by June, and acknowledged the supportive remarks from Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the program.
The Chief Minister concluded his address by urging the participants to work diligently and proudly represent their homeland.
