Tracy Morgan caused concern among fans after falling ill courtside during the New York Knicks’ game against the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden on March 17, 2025. The 56-year-old comedian and actor, a lifelong Knicks supporter, reportedly vomited on the court and suffered a nosebleed, leading to a nearly 10-minute delay before he was escorted out in a wheelchair.
An MSG representative later addressed the situation, telling People Magazine, “We hope the 30 Rock star feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.” Knicks player Josh Hart also commented, stating, “We hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan, avid lifetime Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”

The cause of Morgan’s sudden illness remains undisclosed, but his past health struggles have been well documented. He has battled diabetes and underwent a kidney transplant in 2010, with his ex-partner Tanisha Hall donating a kidney to him. In 2014, he was involved in a catastrophic car accident when a Walmart truck struck his limousine on the New Jersey Turnpike, leaving him with severe brain injuries, multiple fractures, and memory loss.
Speaking about his recovery in a 2015 interview, Morgan shared, “This was a bad thing that happened to me. I wanted to tell my story, but I also want to continue my standup career because all the great things that ever happened to me in my life came through standup.”
Despite his past struggles, Morgan has remained an active Knicks fan. In a 2023 interview, he stated, “I’m always going to be a fan. I’m a New Yorker. I’m a New York fan.” His latest courtside appearance ended in concern rather than celebration, but fans remain hopeful for his quick recovery.
