Judges transfer challenged in SC

The LHCBA has moved the Supreme Court against the transfer of judges to the IHC as well as the notification about the appointment of acting IHC chief justice.

A constitutional petition against the transfer of judges has been filed through senior lawyer Hamid Khan. It requests the apex court to declare the notification of the transfer of judges null and void, as well as the decision of former IHC chief justice Aamir Farooq on a representation of judges.

It has also been requested that the notification of the appointment of the acting IHC chief justice should also be declared null and void. The petition requests the apex court to order reissuance of the seniority list.
