Jack Quaid is celebrating his mother, Meg Ryan, as she makes a triumphant return to Hollywood.
The Novocaine actor expressed his excitement over Ryan’s resurgence, calling it “unbelievable” during an interview at his film’s premiere on March 11.
“Obviously, I am very biased, but no one deserves it more than her,” said Quaid, 32, acknowledging his mother’s decades-long career.
Ryan, 63, recently reunited with When Harry Met Sally co-star Billy Crystal in a Super Bowl commercial, paying tribute to their iconic 1989 rom-com. The duo recreated the legendary Katz’s Deli scene in a humorous nod to the film’s 35th anniversary. They followed up their on-screen reunion by presenting Best Picture at the 2025 Oscars, further cementing Ryan’s Hollywood comeback.
After starring in rom-com classics like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail, Ryan returned to the genre in 2023 with What Happens Later, a film she co-wrote, directed, and starred in alongside David Duchovny. It marked her first major role since 2015’s Ithaca, which featured Quaid.
Despite growing up with famous parents—Ryan and Dennis Quaid—Jack Quaid admitted they were initially hesitant about his acting ambitions. However, they ultimately supported his career, and he has since built a successful filmography, including 2025 releases Companion and Novocaine, which hits theaters on March 14.
