Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is set to join Tom Holland in the next Spider-Man movie from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the highly anticipated sequel will continue the story from Spider-Man: No Way Home, with production scheduled to start later this year.

While Marvel and Sony have not revealed details about Sink’s character, speculation is swirling. Some fans believe she could play Jean Grey from the X-Men, while others think she might portray a well-known redheaded character from the Spider-Man universe.

With Peter Parker erasing his identity from the world in No Way Home, the new film is expected to introduce fresh faces while potentially reducing screen time for previous cast members. Sink’s role is reportedly significant, making her one of the first major additions to the franchise’s evolving storyline.

Holland is currently filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and will begin shooting Spider-Man once he wraps. Meanwhile, Sink is coming off the final season of Stranger Things, one of 2025’s most anticipated TV releases. She recently starred in the SXSW-premiered musical O’Dessa and will appear in the Broadway play John Proctor Is the Villain before joining the Marvel film.

As excitement builds for the next Spider-Man installment, fans eagerly await official details on Sink’s role and how the film will expand the beloved franchise.
