Disney is modifying its usual Hollywood premiere format for Snow White on March 15, opting for a scaled-down red carpet event at the El Capitan Theatre.

While stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot are expected to attend, media access will be limited to photographers and a house crew, with no press interviews. The decision follows ongoing controversies surrounding the film, set to release on March 21.

Zegler, who plays Snow White, has faced backlash since her casting, with critics questioning the decision to cast a Latina actress in the role. She also previously called the 1937 animated film "dated" and criticized the original storyline where the prince "literally stalks Snow White." Additionally, Peter Dinklage criticized the portrayal of little people, prompting Disney to adjust its depiction of the Seven Dwarfs and consult members of the dwarfism community.

Beyond film-related debates, political tensions have intensified discussions. Zegler has expressed support for Palestine, while Gadot, an Israeli actress, has spoken out in support of Israel, particularly after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. These opposing stances have fueled online debates and led to calls for boycotts.

Despite the controversy, promotional efforts continue, including appearances by Zegler and Gadot at the Oscars, international press events, and TV interviews. The official trailer has amassed 11.8 million views on YouTube, indicating sustained audience interest ahead of the film's release.
