Retired PAF officer secures bail

The court ordered the accused squadron leader to submit a surety bond of Rs50,000.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the special anti-terrorism court has accepted the bail application of Pakistan Air Force Squadron Leader (retd) Anum Hasan and ordered her release.

The court ordered the accused squadron leader to submit a surety bond of Rs50,000. The accused had been sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand by the Senior Civil Judge Rawalpindi two days ago for the crime of forging a divorce certificate and order from the family court.

Her alleged first husband, Squadron Leader Adnan Shamoon, had registered a case against her at the Civil Lines police station on the charges of preparing a fake court order and a fake divorce certificate and registering it in the union council. Later, the police arrested the woman, and the court ordered her detention in Adiala Jail for 14 days.
