His contributions were instrumental in India’s 3-0 series victory over England, where he posted three consecutive half-centuries.

The 24-year-old began with an assured 87 in Nagpur before adding 60 in Cuttack. He capped off the series in Ahmedabad with a commanding 112 off 102 balls, striking 14 fours and three sixes. His century secured him the Player of the Match award, and he was also named Player of the Series.

Gill carried his form into the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, guiding India to victory in their opening two matches.
