A viral screenshot allegedly showing Kanye West mistakenly confronting rapper Dave Blunts over allegations against comedian Druski has taken over social media. However, recent reports suggest the texts were fabricated for engagement, fueling further speculation online.
X user shared the alleged screenshot on March 10, writing, “Kanye reveals texts with Dave Blunts about Druski in an Instagram post that is now deleted. This is actually CRAZY.” The post, which quickly racked up over 4.6 million views, appeared to show Kanye asking Blunts, “Why am I seeing these allegations about you? I thought you were different. Delete my trainer’s number.”

Blunts, allegedly confused, responded, “Ye, that’s not me. That’s Druski.” Kanye then seemingly realized the mistake and replied, “Oh. Nevermind. How much weight have you lost since I connected you with my trainer?”
However, the post was soon debunked. Community notes on X pointed out that Kanye’s real Instagram handle is @ye, not @kanyewest, as seen in the viral image. Additionally, Ye had not made any such Instagram post or story, and his account was reportedly wiped clean. Furthermore, the user who first shared the post describes themselves as a “concept artist” and “satire” account.
Despite the confusion, an actual DM exchange between Kanye and Blunts did surface. On March 9, Kanye shared a screenshot of their conversation, where he praised Blunts’ music and offered to help with his weight loss journey. “Bout to listen. Do you mind if I connect you and my trainer? We need you to stay alive.” Blunts responded gratefully, “Let’s do it. Thank you Ye.”

In another now-deleted post, Kanye defended Blunts after Rolling Loud allegedly barred him from performing a track containing controversial lyrics. “Dave Blunts gotta song that say ladyboy on it and Rolling Loud told him he can't perform it. But he can perform everything that's talking about guns,” Ye wrote. Rolling Loud, however, denied the claim, stating that it was Blunts’ own team that made the decision.
Meanwhile, Druski has been named in an amended lawsuit against Diddy, where he faces allegations of drugging and assault. The comedian has since denied the accusations, calling them “outlandish.”
