British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has pleaded not guilty to multiple sexual assault charges in Western Australia.
Appearing in Perth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, Barrientos denied three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one charge of strangulation, and four counts of sexual penetration without consent.
The charges stem from an alleged incident in September 2024, when the 25-year-old rapper is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in his hotel room after performing at a venue in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth. The alleged attack took place on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Barrientos has been on bail since October 2024, with strict conditions, including a personal undertaking of 100,000 Australian dollars (£52,000).
Barrientos will appear before the higher District Court on June 13, 2025, for further proceedings. In addition to the sexual assault charges, he also pleaded guilty to a reckless driving charge in December 2024, after being clocked driving at more than 96mph on the Roe Highway near High Wycombe.
Yung Filly is known for his collaborations with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and for appearing on several BBC shows. He has also participated in prominent UK television programs such as Soccer Aid and The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. In 2021, he won the award for Best Media Personality at the MOBO Awards alongside fellow content creator Chunkz.
