Three killed in attack during prayers
At least three people were killed after unknown assailants opened fire on those offering Taraweeh prayers in an outhouse in Narowal.
A Police Special Branch official was among the victims, while another man was injured in the attack.
According to Narowal City Police Station SHO Tauheedur Rehman, the victims were offering Taraweeh prayers in a room in the outhouse of Inamullah Butt when unknown assailants opened fire on them.
Transporter Imran Butt, Shahid Butt and Special Branch officer Zafar Iqbal were killed in the firing, while Shahbaz was severely injured.
Local police officials said the victims
had been involved a long-standing feud over the control of a private bus stand.
DPO Malik Naveed reached the spot after the attack along with a heavy police contingent.
The bodies were taken into custody and shifted to a hospital, while the injured mean was admitted for treatment.
The police heightened security arrangements across the city following the incident.
