Man impersonating police officer held

A man who posed as a Punjab Police Sub-Inspector by wearing a fake uniform and doing road checking was arrested in the limits of Sadiqabad police station area.

According to the police, Sub-Inspector Naveed Ahmed said that he was on duty on Umar Farooq Road along with other staff when he received information that a person wearing the uniform of a Punjab Police Sub-Inspector was stopping vehicles and checking them on Darulaman Road.

When they reached the spot, they found Qamar Mumtaz, a resident of Dhamiyal acting in police uniform.

When he was nabbed and asked for identification regarding the police department, he could not provide anything and told them that he had done something to impose pressure on the citizens.
