PM Shehbaz assures Bilawal on addressing PPP's canal project concerns

PM stresses importance of cooperation between federal and provincial govts to ensure a brighter future for the country

In a meeting with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured that the government's commitments would be honored, and all concerns raised by PPP would be addressed accordingly, Express News reported.

During the meeting, the PPP delegation expressed objections regarding the controversial canal projects and highlighted security concerns in the Kurram district. The PPP also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of relief for flood victims in Balochistan.

PM Shehbaz reassured the delegation that the government's commitment to resolving the issues related to the canals, security in Kurram, and aid for flood-affected people in Balochistan would be met.

In a statement following the meeting, PM Shehbaz praised PPP leadership for its active and dynamic role in meeting the public's expectations across all provinces and collaborating with the federal government to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

The PM stressed the importance of cooperation between the federal and provincial governments, as well as all political parties, to ensure a brighter future for the country.

The PPP delegation included prominent leaders such as Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, Naveed Qamar, Raja Pervez Ashraf, and other senior party members.
