Bollywood actress Nitanshi Goel, 17, has won the Best Actress Award at the IIFA Awards 2025, surpassing nominees including Yami Gautam, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Shraddha Kapoor in the Leading Role (Female) category.
According to Indian media reports, Goel received the award for her performance in 'Laapataa Ladies', a film directed by Kiran Rao that has already won multiple accolades.
The award was presented to Goel by Boman Irani and Bobby Deol. Overwhelmed with emotion, the young actress became teary-eyed while receiving the honor.
Expressing her gratitude, Goel thanked her film’s team and her parents for their unwavering support throughout her journey in the film.
Speaking to Indian media, the 'Laapataa Ladies' star said, "I did not expect this. I hoped ‘Laapataa Ladies’ would win big at the awards, but I never thought I would win Best Actress myself. The other nominees were incredible, and I am a huge fan of all of them. I am deeply grateful for the love I have received."
Goel’s win marks a significant milestone in her career, as she becomes one of Bollywood’s youngest actresses to receive the Best Actress award at the IIFA Awards.
