India secured a historic third ICC Champions Trophy title with a thrilling victory over New Zealand in the final in Dubai on Sunday. Rohit Sharma led from the front with a match-winning 76 as India successfully chased down a 252-run target, solidifying their dominance in white-ball cricket.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team, calling the triumph an "exceptional result." Taking to social media platform X, he wrote: "An exceptional game and an exceptional result! Proud of our cricket team for bringing home the ICC Champions Trophy. They’ve played wonderfully through the tournament. Congratulations to our team for the splendid all-around display."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also lauded the team, stating: "A victory that scripts history. Your fiery energy and unassailable dominance on the pitch made the nation proud, setting a new benchmark for cricketing excellence."

Bollywood celebrities flooded social media with congratulatory messages as India clinched their third ICC Champions Trophy title, defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final in Dubai on Sunday.

Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar expressed his excitement on X, writing: "Hurray !!! Boys you have done it !!! Congratulations to you and to the whole nation."

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri praised captain Rohit Sharma’s leadership, posting: "Wow! Wow, #TeamIndia. You are champions. Congrats @ImRo45 for leading India to such a comprehensive victory and great tournament."

Actor Abhishek Bachchan celebrated the moment, writing: "The trophy is coming home! A masterclass of skill, grit, and passion by Team India. On top of the world!"

Model-turned-actor Milind Soman, who rarely watches cricket, shared his joy: "Yaaaaay !! We won 😀 watched a match after many years, and glad it was this one, congratulations Team India !!! JAI HIND."

Veteran Malayalam superstar Mammootty also joined in the celebrations, calling it an "outstanding and comprehensive Champions Trophy victory."

With this victory, India became the first team to win the Champions Trophy three times. Rohit Sharma, who was named Man of the Match, joined MS Dhoni as the only Indian captains to have won multiple ICC trophies in white-ball cricket.
