Agribusiness firm listing draws investor interest
Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday marked the listing of Barkat Frisian Agro Limited at a gong ceremony, which came after the conclusion of the company's initial public offering (IPO) that was oversubscribed by 16.25 times, reflecting investor confidence in its vision and growth potential.
With the listing, Barkat Frisian Agro Ltd aims to expand operations, increase productivity and contribute to the development of Pakistan's poultry sector. "This milestone not only underscores the company's commitment to innovation and quality but also highlights the growing interest in agribusiness investment within Pakistan's capital market," said a statement.
PSX Chairperson Dr Shamshad Akhtar said, "I commend Adil (Founder & CEO of Barkat Frisian) for pioneering the pasteurized egg market and breaking new ground, crossing borders and paving the way for increased foreign exchange earnings for Pakistan.
