Jalen Brunson was the standout for New York, scoring 39 points on 13-of-26 shooting while also dishing out 10 assists. Despite his efforts, the Knicks struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 23.3% of their three-point attempts (10-of-43).
OG Anunoby contributed 20 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
The game remained close throughout, with both teams trading leads in the fourth quarter. The Lakers had a chance to win in regulation, but Doncic missed a contested three-pointer at the buzzer.
In overtime, James and Austin Reaves made key plays, with Reaves hitting a crucial three-pointer to put Los Angeles ahead for good.
