Knicks vs Lakers 109-113: LeBron, Luka leave it late; win in OT against New York

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 113-109 overtime victory against the New York Knicks at Crypto.com Arena, with Luka Doncic and LeBron James delivering standout performances.

Doncic led the way with 32 points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds, shooting 9-of-23 from the field. James added 31 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, playing a crucial role in overtime as the Lakers closed out the game.

Jalen Brunson was the standout for New York, scoring 39 points on 13-of-26 shooting while also dishing out 10 assists. Despite his efforts, the Knicks struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 23.3% of their three-point attempts (10-of-43).

OG Anunoby contributed 20 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

The game remained close throughout, with both teams trading leads in the fourth quarter. The Lakers had a chance to win in regulation, but Doncic missed a contested three-pointer at the buzzer.

In overtime, James and Austin Reaves made key plays, with Reaves hitting a crucial three-pointer to put Los Angeles ahead for good.

The Lakers shot 42.7% from the field and outrebounded the Knicks 49-46. Their bench provided key contributions, with Dalton Knecht scoring 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting, while Jarred Vanderbilt added seven points and four rebounds.

With the win, the Lakers improved to 39-21 on the season, maintaining their push for a top seed in the Western Conference. The Knicks, now 40-21, will look to bounce back in their next game as they continue their fight for playoff positioning in the East.
