Kiara Advani reportedly quits Don 3 following pregnancy news

Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has reportedly stepped away from the much-anticipated Don 3, following the announcement of her pregnancy with husband Sidharth Malhotra.

The actress, who was confirmed to play the female lead in the action-packed film alongside Ranveer Singh, made the decision to focus on her personal life as she prepares to embrace motherhood.

Kiara Advani’s exit from the film was confirmed as a mutual decision between the actress and the makers of Don 3. The news comes just days after she announced her pregnancy on March 1, 2025, sharing the news with fans on social media.

In a Instagram post, Kiara and Sidharth shared a picture of tiny baby socks, captioned "The greatest gift of our lives. Coming soon." The announcement received an outpouring of love from fans and fellow Bollywood stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt.

Kiara Advani was first confirmed as the female lead for Don 3 in February 2024, creating excitement among fans.

The film, directed by Farhan Akhtar and produced by Akhtar's banner, Excel Entertainment, is set to be the final chapter in the iconic Don franchise, with Ranveer Singh replacing Shah Rukh Khan as the new Don. Kiara’s role was highly anticipated, marking her first collaboration with Singh and Akhtar.

However, just weeks after the casting was announced, Kiara made the decision to withdraw from the project in order to focus on her pregnancy. According to reports, the decision was reached mutually, with Kiara prioritising her personal life during this special time.

While the film’s timeline has not been officially confirmed, Farhan Akhtar had previously stated that shooting would commence in 2025, with Vikrant Massey rumoured to play the antagonist. As of now, there has been no official statement regarding a replacement for Kiara’s role or adjustments to the film’s production schedule.

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani continues to wrap up her ongoing projects. She is expected to complete filming for War 2, which stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, featuring Yash, before taking her maternity break.

The actress, who tied the knot with Sidharth Malhotra in February 2023, has expressed excitement about this new phase in her life, with many fans supporting her decision.
