A desperate search was launched after Kimberly Burch, the fiancée of Faster Pussycat lead singer Taime Downe, went overboard during an ’80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise, TMZ reports.

Footage obtained by TMZ captures the ship’s public address system alerting passengers about the incident, while smaller boats searched the dark waters for Burch. The exact circumstances remain unclear, but reports indicate that Burch went overboard following a heated exchange with Downe. It is unknown whether she fell or jumped, but her family has confirmed her passing.

The incident occurred while Faster Pussycat was performing on The 80s Cruise, a nostalgia-themed trip departing from Miami and heading to the Bahamas. TMZ also obtained footage of the band’s performance, recorded just hours before Burch’s disappearance.

Following the emergency, the U.S. Coast Guard deployed a helicopter crew and additional personnel to assist the Royal Bahamas Defense Force in search efforts. However, despite extensive operations, Burch’s body was not recovered, and the search was ultimately called off.
