Heavy snowfall in Thandiani and surrounding areas has brought daily life to a standstill, severely disrupting essential services and leaving residents stranded. The ongoing snowfall, which started on Tuesday, has caused major road blockages, power outages, and a suspension of mobile and internet services, making it extremely difficult for locals to access basic necessities.

The snow has heavily impacted Thandiani, Bakot, Nathiagali, Ayubia, Donga Gali, and other parts of Galiyat, with more than two feet of snow accumulating in many locations. This has isolated the region, complicating travel and posing serious safety concerns. Avalanches in several spots have further exacerbated the situation.

Key access routes to Thandiani and nearby tourist destinations are completely blocked, causing immense difficulties for motorists. Many vehicles have become stuck on snow-covered roads, and emergency rescue operations have been hindered by impassable routes. As a result, residents in affected areas are facing growing hardships.

The heavy snowfall has also caused severe disruptions to power supply in many villages, leaving homes without heating amid freezing temperatures. Prolonged power outages have added to the misery, while mobile networks and internet services have also been impacted, making communication with loved ones and emergency responders increasingly difficult.

The district administration has mobilized snow-clearing machinery to restore access to key roads, but the relentless snowfall is hampering progress. As more snow accumulates, the efforts of snow-clearing teams are being undone.

Authorities have issued a public advisory urging locals to avoid unnecessary travel and take safety precautions. Travelers, particularly those planning to visit the Galiyat region's popular tourist destinations, are advised to postpone their trips until weather conditions improve.

Rescue teams and relief workers are on high alert to respond to emergencies, and local authorities have urged residents to stock up on essential supplies and avoid venturing outside unless absolutely necessary. Tourists are strongly advised not to travel under the current hazardous conditions.

Despite these efforts, with the heavy snow continuing to fall, the situation remains critical.
