Agri University holds seminar on self-accountability
A seminar on self-accountability was organized at the University of Agriculture Peshawar, attended by Special Guest Musaddiq Abbasi, Advisor to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Jahan Bakht, faculty members, and students were also present.
The seminar is part of an awareness campaign focused on combating corruption and promoting self-accountability.
Addressing the event, Abbasi emphasized that societies governed by the rule of law and justice achieve prosperity, stressing the need to eliminate negative ideologies and practices.
He highlighted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's efforts to legislate against corruption, which he deemed a grave threat to the nation.
He outlined three pillars for curbing corruption: raising public awareness, closing loopholes for corrupt practices, and strict enforcement of laws.
"We must avoid judging others while justifying our own actions," he observed. He further added that measures are being taken to eradicate corruption opportunities within departments, particularly targeting elite corruption.
