FA Cup Quarter-Final Draw: Man City to face Bournemouth as 8 teams remain
Bournemouth will take on defending champions Manchester City at home in the FA Cup quarter-finals, while Fulham and Crystal Palace are set for a London derby.
Preston, the only remaining Championship side, host Aston Villa, and Brighton await the winner of Nottingham Forest vs. Ipswich.
With several high-profile clubs already eliminated, the tournament remains wide open. Former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender Micah Richards highlighted the opportunity for an unexpected winner.
"All the [other] big teams are out. Manchester City are obviously the strongest team left in there. This is what we wanted, teams to get a chance," Richards told BBC One.
Aside from City, Ipswich—who last won the trophy in 1978—are the only former FA Cup winners still in contention. Meanwhile, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Brighton continue their search for a first title.
The quarter-final matches will be played over the weekend of Saturday, 29 March.
