Gas problem persists during Sehri, Iftar

The supply of piped gas was suspended in various areas of the city during the preparation of Sehri and Iftar, on the first day of Ramazan. Even when gas supply was available, people faced severe problems in preparing Sehri and Iftar due to low pressure. Gas supply could not be restored in different areas of the city, including Latifabad, Qasimabad, Site, Tando Jam, Tando Fazal, and other areas, even though it was time to prepare Sehri.

In some places, gas was provided with very low pressure, due to which Sehri was prepared on cylinders and wood, while people in urban areas prepared their Sehri by buying things from the market at high prices.

However, a significant decrease in gas pressure was also seen during Iftar. There is usually no decrease in gas pressure during Maghrib prayer normally, but a significant decrease in the pressure was felt during Iftar on the first day, causing many problems in Iftar preparation.

Urban residents said that fruits have already become expensive, so most people prepare food and buy dates to break their fast, but this is no longer possible due to the Sui Gas Company.

On the other hand, an officer of the Sui Gas Company said that the load can lead to a decrease in gas pressure. The company is not doing load-shedding of gas during Sehr and Iftar times.
