Revenue: Deadline for payment of taxes extended

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for the payment of taxes/duty for August, a statement said on Thursday. It said that the Inland Revenue wing of the FBR had communicated to all chief commissioners of Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) that the deadline for the payment of taxes/duty had been extended to September 20. The extension is for the month of August, it said. The extension has been announced in accordance with the powers conferred under Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.
